TGC 109 – Mamba Mentality

Welcome athletes into the gym closet. We have a somber but great episode today, and we’re gonna talk a little bit about Kobe. We got some segments that we’re gonna start first. But if this is your first time joining us, the gym closet is a Krave Gym podcast. We talk about kind of dive deeper into what we do it Krave Gym, give our athletes a look behind the curtain, if you will, and see everything that we do and try to be as transparent as a business and as a gym is possible. And in doing so, we like to think we give a lot of good information that anybody can take with them in life and live a better life in a more successful life. And some tips of the trade and the people that we talk to often are experts in different fields, and we love to get new people in.

WATER

Hello folks, I am here today to talk to you about why you need to drink only water all the time. No soda, no beer, no wine, no nothin’. Just good ol’ fashion H2O. I want to preface all that I’m about to say with: this is my opinion and it is not based on any science. That being said, let me tell you why science has it wrong. In this blog I will formulate a 1-part argument that can be used time and time again. That argument, “You should drink a little water”. It’s simple, direct, effective, and versatile. You will soon see how I can turn any argument against it upside down in an instant.

FOODIE: GAMEDAY TAILGATE

This weeks foodie was what is your favorite game day food? We chose this in light of it being FOOTBALL SEASON! And the picture since the Iowa Hawkeyes won the CyHawk. I will begin those blog by apologizing for forgetting Nachos. I will admit outright that those would have been head and shoulders a better choice than bean dip, so I am sorry. If you’re one of the people who voted for bean dip anyway, and there were a few, wow. Losers.

FOODIE: GET BERRIED

Alright folks, this week’s foodie was your favorite type of berry. This is one that we wanted to do for a while but were worried we wouldn’t be able to think of enough berry types. These worries were quickly dispelled when we put our minds to it and came up with the very popular and obvious choses of goji, acai, and boysenberries! To round out the 8 was blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and cranberries.

FOODIE: OREO COOKIES

The first round went like this: Birthday Cake vs Mint, Pumpkin Spice vs Carrot Cake, Regular vs Peanut Butter, and Double Stuffed vs Golden Oreo. I could give all the results and tell you what I think about them or I can throw a fit about one result and spend the next paragraph complaining about that particular result. Any guesses as to which is about to happen??

FOODIE: CANDY BAR CRAZE

I am going to have a pretty hard time getting mad at anyone for their choices here. Honestly this is the best group of options we’ve probably ever had; candy bars are all awesome. This seemed to have been the consensus of those who talked to us as well. Almost like no matter what everyone likes all candy, which I’m sure would have prevailed in any other foodie that we’ve had before. OH WAIT. We DID have candy as an option in another foodie and you all DIDN’T choose it. You chose potatoes.

FOODIE: BEER ME!

First things first, I’m going to stop all of you Microbrew-Hipsters before you even start. Yes, Gulliver, we know that these beers don’t compare to the milk chocolate double stout IPA blend with a citrus zing you tried that one time in Dearborn County, Indiana when you were going on your “obscure counties across America” vacation 2 summers ago.

FOODIE: CARB CRAZY

The foodie? Your favorite carb source. The carb choices? Pasta, bread, sweets, potatoes, cereal,
oatmeal, granola bars, and fruit. The first round? Bread vs fruit, pasta vs oatmeal, potatoes vs sweets, and cereal vs granola bars.
