This week’s foodie is favorite candy bar! The contestants are: Milky Way, Butterfinger, Whatchamacallit, Snickers, Hersey Bar, Reese’s, 3 Musketeers, and Twix
I am going to have a pretty hard time getting mad at anyone for their choices here. Honestly this is the best group of options we’ve probably ever had; candy bars are all awesome. This seemed to have been the consensus of those who talked to us as well. Almost like no matter what everyone likes all candy, which I’m sure would have prevailed in any other foodie that we’ve had before. OH WAIT. We DID have candy as an option in another foodie and you all DIDN’T choose it. You chose potatoes.
Anyway, the first round had Butterfinger vs Milky Way, Hersey vs 3 Musketeers, Snickers vs Twix, and Reese’s vs Whatchamacallit. I personally would have had Milky way, Hersey, Whatchamacallit, and Snickers. The results, however, were Butterfinger, Snickers, Reese’s, and Hersey.
Butterfinger is the only one I have a problem with, it was one of the best candy bars as a kid but as an adult I can’t eat them anymore. Zach said it best on the podcast, they make your mouth feel weird.
The second round had Butterfinger vs Reese’s and Snickers vs Hersey. Snickers and Hersey’s are the originals, they have been around the longest (I assume, I didn’t look that up) so I wasn’t sure how it would go down. Snickers won by a pretty healthy margin. I think Hersey’s got overlooked but that’s just me. Snickers also gets a boost for having, hands down, the best commercials. Reese’s walloped Butterfinger, which isn’t a surprise those peanut butter cups are too delicious!
Again, overall, not too much complaint from anyone. Candy bars are all great. The final round now is Snickers vs Reese’s. In all polls, Reese’s won by a double-digit margin. I suspected that it would have the advantage but I didn’t know by how much. Reese’s is the CHAMP.
