As I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and looking at all of our bad ass athletes I ACTUALLY started tearing up a little. It could be wind burn (we were on a boat all weekend and my eyes are definitely not used to that) or it could be because I saw new babies, athletes finishing races, athletes posting before and after pics and life changing events.
When we were opening Krave I was all about the X’s and O’s. The commercial fitness system was broken so I wanted to solve the programming errors and bust through the training myths with science and help people find their inner athlete. While Krave has done all of that I never anticipated getting all the feels from the Jimmy’s and Jo’s that I get when thinking about our Krave Gym family.
When you buy a Krave Franchise you’re not JUST buying into the best gym (Science, programming, training that I talked about earlier. ) You are buying into a family of athletes that you get to ACTUALLY care about everything in their life.
We worry about the WHOLE athlete at Krave. That is what I have fallen in love with more than anything else! I scroll through my social media and realize that it is LITERALLY filled with Krave Athletes and their lives. THAT is the most important part. I get the see the good people that are a part of the TEAM.
Zach (WDM Head Coach) mentioned this last week as well. After surgery he got the most texts and messages from our TEAM at Krave Gym, even over other family and friends. This is something that is the fabric of all that we do. It permeates everything that is a great TEAM.
All sports had a team feel. You find some teammates that are in your wedding and in your life forever. But when you are done with sports where do you find that TEAM. Krave Gym is the answer. So if you are sitting at a job you hate reading this blog from a cubical that feels more like a prison and are looking for the answer to your “NEED for TEAM” and a change in your life Krave is that answer. It’s been the answer for Amber and myself.
We obviously have a wonderful family at home but the crazy part is our Athletes are intertwined with that life. If I had a nickel for every time that someone asked about how Pierce and Ivy are and stated that we need to let everyone know when they are coming to the gym so they can see them again, I would have enough cash to open Krave’s in every market in America! Seriously I can’t state enough that I love our Krave Athletes and the TEAM that we have.
The fact that this is our “WORK” is amazing to me. I wake up every day looking forward to hanging with my team and doing the necessary “work” to help them in their everyday life!!
