Amber VLOG wk3: Krave Gym + Y6 & Gigi’s Gala

We had a Krave Gym “YOGA FOR ATHLETES” event at YogaSix and I didn’t know my body could bend the way it did LOL! However, I loved incorporating this yoga session into my training week because it felt so good to take the time to stretch, work on my flexibility and practice mind/body connection.

ATHLETE SHOUT OUT: BRET SHAW

During college I was an All-American 12 oz curler, a pursuit I still enjoy from time to time. I really enjoy strength training and group exercise which works out great as a team member at Krave. In the last few years I have done a few obstacle course races and had a great time doing them. I plan on using the training we do at Krave to do a few more of them. I tend to enjoy the “curling” event after the races as well, anyone is welcome to join me!

WATER

I want to preface all that I’m about to say with: this is my opinion and it is not based on any science. That being said, let me tell you why science has it wrong. In this blog I will formulate a 1-part argument that can be used time and time again. That argument, “You should drink a little water”. It’s simple, direct, effective, and versatile. You will soon see how I can turn any argument against it upside down in an instant.

COACHES BREAKDOWN EP 7: SPRINT FORM

Today on our coaches break down. We’re gonna be going over our sprint form and are running form specifically for sprints, not necessarily for our jogging.

ATHLETE SHOUT OUT: MARK MALONE

Mark played soccer and football growing up, and has continued to play competitive soccer year-round for the last 20+ years. In his own words, Mark “wasn’t good enough to play soccer at Creighton (That’s like playing football at Notre Dame).” He currently plays in the central Iowa coed league, and he says they are always looking for more players, especially more females.
